2007_Q4: Ministry of Hospitality
by: Chuck Belding
The Holiday Season is a time for giving and NARMS TODAY would like to highlight a member who has been giving for 16 years. Chuck Belding, Senior Vice President of Retail Project Managers, Inc. and a founding member of NARMS as he was developing Team Management, Inc. (TMI). A former NARMS board member, Belding has coordinated a "Ministry of Hospitality" every Sunday morning for the hungry and homeless of Columbus, Ohio prior to services at the New Life United Methodist Church.

(cont.)
Through rain, sleet or snow, breakfast has been served to those who need it most. Every Sunday morning at 6:30 a.m. people start arriving at the inner city facility. 150 to 200 are served weekly and the word "served" is important. It has always been the policy of the church to actually serve breakfast to those in need rather than have them stand in line. It is important to provide the attendees a feeling of friendliness and hospitality.

Every week volunteers from throughout central Ohio serve unlimited coffee, sweet rolls, cereal, juice, 45 dozen scrambled eggs, 50 pounds of potatoes, 30 pounds of meat, tons of toast donated from Giant Eagle and a bagged lunch for everyone . . . .
